Love You Grandma!!

My sweet Grandma Tew passed away early yesterday morning. She had been struggling with poor health for a while, more so lately. Though I miss her terribly already, I'm comforted to know that she is free of pain and happy in the arms of my grandpa again, she's where she wants to be. She was the sweetest, strongest, most faithful woman. She was such a tease with that hint of mischief in her eyes as you can see in the picture below. I only have good memories of her which I will hold dear to my heart until I see her again.

Liberty Park with Brooklynn

Carson and his cousin, Brooklynn, had a blast playing in the water at Seven Canyons at Liberty Park. It is the coolest place, there are sevenish fountains/waterfalls that represent the seven canyons: City Creek, Red Butte, Emigration, Parleys, Millcreek, Big Cottonwood, and Little Cottonwood. They all go into rivers that merge into the Jordan River and end up in the Great Salt Lake, the pool at the end. It is mostly shadey and shallow and tons of fun.

After the kids were soggy we went and played on the playground. Brooklynn is so cute with Carson and they have such a good time together. There is really minimal hitting and screaming when she's around. I always say he needs an older sister like her, how do I go about arranging that?!

Carson Turns Two!!

So, honestly, we should have just bought wrapping paper and balloons and called it good. Carson was so excited when he woke up from his nap and there was a room full of balloons just for him. We went to dinner at Rumbi's because he usually loves the rice bowls there. Well, he just wanted to run around saying HI to people and point out all the ceiling fans. At least Rob and I enjoyed his birthday dinner.

After dinner we had some family over for ice cream and cake. He loved his digger cake and had to poke his finger in every wave of frosting, afterwhich he would offer Papa Jones a lick too. So generous. He was so busy with his first few gifts that we stashed the rest for Christmas. Nobody wil notice that a few dusty presents are wrapped in blue and orange, right?

Dinosaur Museum

I'm not sure how much of a bargain it is to wait outside in line for 30 minutes to save $6, but apparantly I'm not the only one who thought that was a good idea. Despite the wait in the hot sun, we had a good time with Rochelle and her girls and my mom. I have definitely decided to buy a harness or leash or something to help keep track of Carson!

Four Years and Counting.....

It's hard to believe we've been married for four years on March 6th and a lot has changed. Actually, there's very little that hasn't changed. The most obvious change from this picture is the hair. Rob had some and mine is not up in a wet bun! Another thing different about this picture is the lack of dark circles that are everpresent under our eyes now. I joke, but we are grateful for every wrinkle, every inch of cellulite, and every gray hair because Carson came with them! So, here's to many more great years and hopefully not this much bodily damage with each child :)
